We offer the Connection Guarantee service for some flights. It applies to connecting flights and helps you reach your final destination no matter whether your flight is delayed, rescheduled or cancelled. If the service applies to the flight you selected, you will be informed about it during the booking process.
What can happen:
- You can miss your connecting flight because your previous flight was delayed;
- Your flight can be unexpectedly cancelled, even several hours prior to departure;
- Schedule changes may lead to missed connections on your itinerary.
Solution:
- Searching for an alternative flight to your destination;
- Full refund on your unused tickets.
Important time frames for your connection guarantee:
- If changes occur more than 48 hours prior to departure, the offer will be available until your flight departs;
- If the connecting flight disruption occurs less than 48 hours prior to departure or the flight has already departed, the offer will be available within 24 hours after the departure of the 1st flight.
Exceptions when the connection guarantee does not apply:
- Connection between two flights in a single booking (same PNR);
- Separately booked round-trip flights (different PNRs);
- Late check-in for a flight;
- Lack of required visa or travel documents for connection;
- Denied boarding due to violation of the carrier's terms of service;
- Force majeure events*;
- If any changes to the booking affecting the connection time in any way have been made through or agreed with the airline directly;
- If any changes to the flight, contact details, baggage allowance were made directly through the airline;
- Lack of timely passenger response to alternative flight options offered.
* Force majeure events:
- Extreme weather events;
- Air traffic controllers strike;
- Political turbulence;
- Earthquakes;
- Terrorist attacks;
- Volcanic eruption;
- Airline bankruptcy, and/or insolvency or termination of 50% or more of all Carriages of the Carrier or any other effect which significantly limits or disables the Carrier to provide its services
Connection Guarantee benefits:
- All passengers in the booking will be compensated for the cost of transfer to the new airport of departure;
- All passengers will be accommodated in a hotel in case of a night flight delay of 8 hours or more.
- All passengers will be provided with food and drinks in case of a flight delay of 4 hours or more.
How to use the service:
- Contact Solartrip customer support in the chat as soon as possible and notify of the problem;
- Do not make any changes to your booking without consulting the customer support;
- Respond to our suggestions within 24 hours;
- In order to get compensation for purchasing a flight that was not available for sale online, you need to send us a document confirming the purchase of such a flight within 14 days.
